These Full Moon Necklaces are prints of my hand-painted moons. Clear resin is poured over the moon creating a dome effect that catches the light and highlights the individual details. Swirling, iridescent pearled resin forms the back of the moon, making the necklace reversible.
The celestial scene is captured within a hand-cast bronze or silver frame. It’s more than just a symbol—this piece is a small slice of the heavens.

I take great care in selecting the materials I use for my jewelry. It is important to me that the metal I use is beautiful, of the highest quality, while also being strong enough to be worn frequently.
I use 14k gold filled instead of gold plating because of its durability, strength and resistance to tarnish. Gold plating often flakes off quickly and tarnishes easily. Real gold is too soft for everyday wear. My gold filled jewelry can be worn daily and will last for years if maintained properly.
All of my silver jewelry is made with sterling silver. Sterling silver holds up well when soldered and doesn’t tarnish easily. I also love the way silver highlights different dimensions of color in my hand mixed resin.
As gold filled can not be cast I use solid bronze for my hand cast components. Bronze compliments the gold well and has an earthy quality to it as it wears.
